Our Mission
Most people work in complex organizations. Our focus is rooted in the belief that a job is the keystone in a person’s quality of life. A person’s quality of life has everything to do with his or her family’s quality of life. When a business is growing or an organization is flourishing, job security for employees is ensured and job opportunities for others are created. To serve companies and organizations by helping them to increase profit/improve their financials, while enhancing the work life of their employees, is service of a high order, and consistent with the values for which Caldwell College stands.
The core offering of the Institute will be training in a systematic improvement process called:
Bottom Line Teams™
A methodology to transform the two bottom lines
Why Two Bottom Lines?
On an income statement business analysts regard profit as the bottom line. It is the ultimate, final test of the health of a business. But, this end can only be achieved through the dedicated work of the people employed by a company. When they are motivated, enthused, listened to, appreciated, and feel they are a vital part of a company’s financial success, the chances of achieving profit targets are excellent. If they are not, the chances of financial success are slim to none. A company, therefore, needs to pay attention to its people and nurture this other bottom line because it is the means, the necessary condition, without which it is impossible to achieve a durable profitable business. Many successful businesses have found ways to do this, but we have created a method to improve even their results on these two bottom lines,
profit and people, with Bottom Line Teams.

What Are Bottom Line Teams?
Bottom Line Teams is a process developed by Dr. Donald J. Noone to mobilize the creative power of individuals and employee teams. Team sessions result in recommendations with teeth, and managerial decisions that lead to actual profit and work life improvement.
What Are The Payoffs?
When your company/division establishes Bottom Line Teams, a plethora of powerful advantages accrue...
Bottom Line Teams will help:
• Grow profits continuously.
• Accelerate decision making in your company.
• Ensure accountability at all levels.
• Foster teamwork throughout your company.
• Plant a sense of ownership in everyone.
• Unleash your employees’ creativity.
• Open up possibilities of quantum leap advances.
• Reveal who the bona fide leaders are.
• Focus all your employees on the bottom line.
• Create new sources of work satisfaction.
• Involve the people in your company who really know where opportunity exists.
• Infuse the workplace with excitement and a renewed sense of purpose.
• Seat a continuous stream of work life improvements.
How Much Profit Improvement Could Reasonably Be Expected?
(Work the arithmetic for your company out right now)
N x 2 x $5000 x 10 = PI

Just look at this number!
This is the level of profit improvement for a company that can be ultra-conservatively
expected in one year with Bottom Line Teams.

Bottom Line Teams are a springboard to innovation.
What Have They Said?
“A return on investment of 10% is considered terrific. Our target for the improvement session was $50,000 of profit improvement decisions. The result of the process was $1,065,000 in profit improvement decisions. If you compare that to the original investment of approximately $5000, it represents a return, when implemented, of 21,300%. This is simply staggering. Of course, now we have to make it happen, but nothing happens without a decision – now we have the decisions, and the public commitment!”
Peter Behrle
CEO, The Behrle Group
Four months later at a Business Advisory Council Meeting on the Caldwell College campus, Peter said that three quarters of the recommendations and decisions had already been implemented.
Understand, when you unleash the creative capacity and good will of your people, and combine these with an executive who is willing to make a decision, similar results could happen in your company.
“The team approach of allowing employee participation from all company disciplines has fostered a tremendous amount of creativity, enthusiasm, and ownership. I am sincerely excited about the positive change ahead of us and the resulting improvement in Corporate Environment’s bottom line.”
Steve Hovey
CEO, Corporate Environments

Bottom Line Teams get all of your workers actively engaged.
“Feed a man a fish and you satisfy his hunger for the day.
Teach him how to fish and he will have food for a lifetime.”
Who Could Champion Bottom Line Teams?
Whether you are a CEO, CFO, GM, HR Manager, or a concerned manager or professional in any function, this is an opportunity to make a distinctive contribution to your company. Champion
Bottom Line Teams. Every stake holder in your company will benefit profoundly.

Your Investment?
When the Bottom Line Teams system is in place, the growth in bottom line improvement that occurs
year after year is awesome. Employee recommendations and managerial decisions on cost savings, better financing, technological innovation, new products and services, less rework, fewer errors, collapsed cycle times, new ways to market, new market niches, and new ways to increase revenue, or reallocate resources will continue to occur session after session at every level in every area of your company. In addition, the work life of your people will be enhanced as a consequence of their recommendations and your decisions.
Our fee is a minuscule part of the predicted 1000% ROI that could be reaped in the first year of the program. In fact, to test the validity of any strategic initiative you already have set in motion, compare its payoff to what is likely with
Bottom Line Teams – and be aware that this amount of profit improvement is done with an investment of
.009 of employee time! Remember, there are millions of dollars waiting to be harvested simply from the low hanging fruit. Your people are the ones who know where it is.
Let’s begin the harvest.
The total cost of the program would likely give you over a 1000% ROI in the first year alone! In an era where 10-20% ROI is considered great, this amount of ROI is a true quantum leap and may be the best investment your company will have ever made. In subsequent years the basic cost is the time of your own people which is
already a committed investment.
Our fees to seat the program compared to the colossal payoffs are very low.
• Demonstration proof session = $5,000 (guaranteed with a 1000% ROI).
• To train your Master Improvement Specialist and Coordinator = $10,000.
• To train voluntary Associate Management Specialists = $2,000 each
(the number for your company is 1/4 the number of managers).
• Small companies may not need a comprehensive Bottom Line Teams program.
Our fees will be related to the specific services provided.
Bottom Line Teams can augment any improvement program you already have instituted.
With it you will improve your bottom lines even faster.

Other Benefits?
Yes. Because of The Caldwell College Institute’s dedication to service and your company’s need to be a good corporate citizen, your company can become a
“Partner in Service”. Once your company realizes the amazing benefits that flow from the
Bottom Line Teams methodology, with your agreement, we will team with you to bring the methodology to a non-profit organization of your choice. You underwrite the cost and we will offer the non-profit a special rate for the service. This allows your company to go way beyond charitable donations. By seating
Bottom Line Teams in your chosen nonprofit organization, you can help it in a more substantive and long lasting way.
Remember, non-profits have the same problems businesses have of inefficiency, waste, lack of innovation, resistance to change, creating revenue streams, etc. In addition they are often financially fragile, and cannot afford consultation and training like successful businesses can. Becoming a
“Partner in Service” is without a doubt, a practical and an entirely unique philanthropy.
– A Personal Payoff For You –
As you know, hitting financial targets is critical. It ensures the job security of the CEO and top executives. Look at what happened to the CEOs of Iomega, AT&T, Apple, Sunbeam, Lucent, and in the last three years, 163 of the Fortune 500 when they failed to meet earnings forecasts. Bottom Line Teams is a prudent and low cost way to help hit those numbers.
