6-30-05
CALDWELL, N.J. – Ten Caldwell College student-athletes were among those
honored on the
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's All-Academic Teams for the 2005
spring athletic season. A total of 53 student-athletes from all 12 CACC
member schools were named to the All-Academic Teams, which require a
cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher to receive the honor.
Student-athletes from all four of Caldwell's spring sports earned CACC
All-Academic honors, with the Cougar softball team having six players on the
All-Academic Team. Three Cougars also received All-Academic honors in the
fall: rising junior Bard Skjelstad (Bodo, Norway), who golfed in the
spring after earning all-CACC first team accolades in men's soccer; rising
senior Kristi Godfrey (West Babylon, NY), who played tennis in the fall
and softball in the spring; and Roman Veselinov (Varna, Bulgaria), who
recently graduated from Caldwell College after competing for the Cougar soccer
and tennis squads.
This is the first year the CACC has named All-Academic Teams for each sports
season, honoring a total of 167 student-athletes. Caldwell College placed nine
student-athletes on the fall All-Academic squads and two on the winter
All-Academic teams.
