SIX CALDWELL COLLEGE STUDENT-ATHLETES EARN CACC ALL-ACADEMIC HONORS

CALDWELL, N.J. – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Spring All-Academic Team includes six Caldwell College student-athletes, the conference announced. A total of 75 student-athletes from all 13 CACC member schools in the five championship sports were named to the All-Academic Team, which requires a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher. Student-athletes also must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically to be eligible.
 
Senior baseball player Jorge Torres (Coral Springs, FL/Taravella) was one of nine student-athletes in the conference to be named to the CACC All-Academic Team three times. Juniors Andrew Robertson (Coral Springs, FL/Taravella) of the baseball team and Kyrie Timbrook (Los Gatos, CA/Los Gatos) of the softball team are repeat selections, while senior Luis Sartorio (Asuncion, Paraguay/St. Benedict's Prep) of the men's tennis team and junior Brittni Frantellizzi (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) of the softball team also made the CACC All-Academic Team in the fall. Sartorio also played for the Cougar men's soccer team, and Frantellizzi was a member of the women's tennis team in the fall.
 
During the 2008-09 academic year, Caldwell College had a total of 17 student-athletes named to the All-Academic teams by the CACC, which names an All-Academic Team for the fall, winter and spring sports seasons.
