CALDWELL, N.J. – Five Caldwell College student-athletes were named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team for the 2005-06 winter athletic season, the conference announced. Those honored include men's basketball players Mark Kelly (Oakhurst, NJ/Ocean Twp), Adam Sabree (Detroit, MI/Renaissance) and Hans Stelzer (Seldon, NY/Our Savior), and women's basketball players Shannon Coyle (Matawan, NJ/St. John Vianney) and Dana Leary (Bridgewater, NJ/Immaculata). Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore and have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 to be included on the All-Academic team.

Kelly, a 6-1 senior guard, completed his career this past season having scored 657 points in three years. He ranks fourth in three-point field goals, fifth in three-point shooting percentage and 25th in scoring all-time at Caldwell. A math education major, Kelly was a CACC All-Academic Team member last season and also earned a spot on the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District third team earlier this year.

Sabree, a 6-4 sophomore guard, averaged 4.1 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while playing in all 31 games for the Cougars this past season. A marketing major at the College, Sabree has started 23 games in his two years. Stelzer, a 5-9 sophomore guard, saw action in 14 games after recovering from a foot injury suffered in the preseason. A transfer student who arrived at Caldwell last January, Stelzer is majoring in business administration.

Coyle, a 5-5 junior guard, averaged 10.0 points and a team-best 3.7 assists last season, her second at Caldwell. Her 12-assist performance at Post University on Feb. 9 was the highest single-game total in the CACC in 2005-06. Leary, a 5-7 sophomore forward, recorded 10.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest. Coyle is an education major, while Leary is majoring in psychology.

The CACC has bestowed All-Academic status on 144 student-athletes from all 13 member schools in eight sports thus far in the 2005-06 academic year. Fourteen Caldwell student-athletes earned CACC All-Academic honors this past fall.
