CALDWELL COLLEGE TO HOST CACC BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS -

The semifinals and finals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's
and Women's Basketball Tournaments will be held at the George R. Newman Center
on the campus of Caldwell College on Friday, Mar. 4 and Saturday, Mar. 5. For
the first time, the winner of the CACC Tournament will receive an automatic
bid to the NCAA Division II national tournament.
The first round of the CACC Men's Basketball Tournament begins on Tuesday,
Mar. 1, with the top four seeds as determined by the conference standings
hosting quarterfinal games at 7:30 p.m., including third-seeded Caldwell
College's (15-13, 14-6 CACC) match-up with sixth-seeded N.J.I.T. (11-16, 10-10
CACC) in the Newman Center. The four winners will convene at
Caldwell College on Friday, Mar. 4 for the semifinals, with games at 5:30 p.m.
and 8:00 p.m. The semifinal winners will meet on Saturday, Mar. 5 in the
championship game.
The CACC Women's Basketball Tournament gets underway on Wednesday, Mar. 2,
again with the top four teams hosting first-round games. The winners will play
at Caldwell College on Friday, Mar. 4, at 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the
semifinals. The championship game on Saturday, Mar. 5 precedes the men's game,
starting at 5:30 p.m.
