ARMSTRONG JOINS CALDWELL STAFF AS ATHLETIC TRAINER

5-30-07
CALDWELL, N.J. – The Caldwell College Athletic Department announces the hiring of Eric Armstrong as athletic trainer. Armstrong joins Diane Froehlich as athletic trainers for Caldwell's 11 intercollegiate athletics programs, which compete in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference at the NCAA Division II level.

Armstrong comes to Caldwell after graduating from King's College in Wilkes-Barre, Penn., this past spring with a bachelor's degree in Athletic Training. While at King's College, Armstrong was a member of the Sports Medicine Society and worked with the football and women's lacrosse teams. He also had internships at Hanover Area High School and Wilkes University. In May of 2006, Armstrong was one of two students from his district to be selected to participate in the College Sports Medicine Foundation's leadership conference in Boca Raton, Fla.

"We are pleased to have Eric join our staff as our second athletic trainer," said Mark A. Corino, Caldwell's Executive Director of Athletics. "We are fortunate to be in position to add a trainer to our department, and Eric's addition will benefit the well-being of our student-athletes."

A native of Blackwood, N.J., Armstrong attended Highland High School for two years before moving to Wyalusing, Penn. He currently resides in Essex Fells, N.J.
