CALDWELL COLLEGE ATHLETICS RELEASES NEW LOGO FOR COUGAR PRIDE

CALDWELL, N.J. – The Caldwell College Athletic Department announced
the unveiling of the new logo for Cougar Pride, the department’s official
booster club. Mark A. Corino, Caldwell’s Executive Director of
Athletics, partnered with Phoenix Design Works to create an attractive logo
to promote Cougar Pride to a variety of audiences.
“We think the people at Phoenix Design Works did an outstanding job in
fulfilling our need for a new logo to help us promote Cougar Pride,” Corino
said. “It definitely catches your eye, and we think it appeals to a variety
of audiences, such as current student-athletes and their parents, alumni,
corporate donors and the local community. Cougar Pride is relatively new, so
we’re hoping this logo will go a long way towards establishing our brand and
making Cougar Pride more familiar to our supporters.”
The Cougar Pride logo incorporates the familiar Cougar head and paws from
Caldwell’s athletics logo and features ‘Cougar Pride’ in large,
three-dimensional lettering. The words ‘Community,’ ‘Character’ and
‘Commitment’ appear above the Cougar head in the top of the oval, with
‘Caldwell College’ appearing below the Cougar and in the bottom of the oval.
“When I first met Mark and the staff at
Caldwell, I couldn't help but get caught up in their enthusiasm for the
Caldwell mission,” said James M. Skiles, president and creative director of
Phoenix Design Works. “They make everyone around them want to try a little
harder to make what we do for Caldwell the best it can be. We wanted the
work that we've done for Caldwell to generate spirit for the students,
participation for the fans, and revenue for the institution, both now, and
for years to come.”
The Cougar Pride logo is the property of the Caldwell College
Athletic Department and cannot be used by outside entities. Click
