PANKO JOINS CALDWELL'S ATHLETIC TRAINING STAFF

CALDWELL, N.J. – The Caldwell College Athletic Department announces
the hiring of Julia Panko as an athletic trainer. Panko joins Paul
Winkler
as athletic trainers for Caldwell's 11 intercollegiate athletics programs,
which compete in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference at the NCAA
Division II level.
Panko graduated from California University of Pennsylvania in 2006 with a
Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training. While an undergraduate
student, she spent three years as an athletic training student assistant and
volunteered at the Pennsylvania Special Olympics. Panko also earned a
Master's degree in exercise science and health promotion with a focus in
sports psychology from California in 2007. From 2006 to 2008, she served as
an athletic training intern at Division I Coastal Carolina University,
supporting football, cross country, track and field, volleyball and
softball. This past academic year, Panko worked for a general practitioner
in Bethlehem, Penn., specializing in sports medicine.
"We are pleased to welcome Julia to our athletic training staff," said
Mark A. Corino, Executive Director of Athletics. "She has an excellent
understanding of athletic training, and our student-athletes will benefit
from her knowledge and experience."
Panko holds athletic training certification from NATA and is an EMT in
Pennsylvania.
A native of Perkasie, Penn., Panko currently resides in Bloomfield, N.J.
