COUGARS TOP CACC PRESEASON BASEBALL POLL

CALDWELL, N.J. - Defending CACC Tournament champion Caldwell College was selected to the top spot in the 2005 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball Preseason Coaches’ Poll, according to balloting released today. The voting was done by the league’s nine head coaches.

Caldwell, which reached the NCAA Northeast Regional last year and finished 28-16 overall, including a 9-6 mark in conference play, received six of nine first-place votes and 13 points overall. Head coach Chris Reardon returns three first-team All-CACC performers in second baseman Ryan McGee (Cedarhurst, NY/Lawrence), outfielder Hasani Whitfield (Briarwood, NY/Molloy) and outfielder/pitcher Mike Kolesar (New City, NY/Clarkstown North), pictured. 

The Cougars are scheduled to begin the 2005 season on Mar. 5 at Southern Connecticut State.
