SAXON CHOSEN CACC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

CALDWELL, N.J. - Freshman outfielder Adric Saxon (Coral Springs, FL/Broward CC) was named the Rookie of the Week by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for the week ending Mar. 25, the league announced today. This is the second weekly honor for Saxon, who was named Rookie of the Week on Feb. 27.

Saxon helped the Cougars go 3-3 on the team's trip to Tennessee last week. He hit .360 in the six games with three doubles, two home runs and 13 runs batted in. In a 6-4 victory over Lincoln Memorial University on Mar. 21, he went 2 for 3 with a double and a home run. Saxon, who leads Caldwell in hitting with a .434 batting average, has at least one hit in 10 of the Cougars' 12 games this season.

The Cougars host Nyack College on Wednesday, Mar. 28 in the first home game of the year. The game, which is also the CACC opener for Caldwell, begins at 3:00 p.m. at Smith Field in Parsippany, N.J.
