General: Powerful right-handed pitcher… Valuable utility player who has had success at the plate and on the mound. 2007/Junior: Hit .328 with nine doubles and two home runs… Became the Cougars’ starting shortstop midway through the season… Stole a team-best 15 bases in 17 attempts to rank fourth in the CACC… Had 16 multi-hit games… Named to the CACC all-Tournament team after going 8-for-18 with eight runs scored… Was 4-for-5 with a homer and four runs scored vs. Dominican 5/10… Also homered at Post 5/3… As a pitcher, went 3-1 with a 6.15 earned run average in 10 appearances… Struck out 31 batters in 26 1/3 innings… Tossed 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the decision in a 5-4 10-inning victory over Dominican in the CACC Tournament 5/11… Pitched 7.0 strong innings with 10 strikeouts vs. Adelphi in the NCAA Regional 5/18. 2006/Sophomore: Named to the all-CACC first team as a utility player… Was 4-4 with an earned-run average of 4.09 on the mound to rank second on the team in both categories… Led Caldwell with 56 strikeouts in 55.0 innings… Tossed a two-hit shutout while striking out a career-best 13 batters in a 9-0 win over Nyack 4/12/06… Also earned CACC and NJCBA Pitcher of the Week honors for that performance… Fanned nine in a 9-4 victory vs. USP 4/6/06… Ranked third on the team in batting average (.318) and runs scored (24)… Had nine multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 performance vs. Franklin Pierce 3/19… Also stole 13 bases in 2006. 2005/Freshman: Turned in a solid freshman campaign on the mound and at the plate... Showed his potential in his first collegiate start, tossing a one-hit shutout at Queens 3/19/05 to earn CACC Pitcher of the Week honors... Also blanked Philadelphia 4/26/05 over seven innings... Fanned a season-high six batters vs. NJIT in the CACC Tournament May 6... Also had seven hits in 18 at-bats.
