CALDWELL BASEBALL FIFTH IN NCBWA REGIONAL POLL

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College baseball team is ranked fifth
in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association
Northeast Regional Poll, released today. The Cougars received 51
points this week, while Franklin Pierce University held the top spot
after receiving eight of nine first-place votes.
Caldwell was idle last week after its doubleheader with Franklin
Pierce scheduled for Saturday was canceled due to rain. The Cougars
haven't played since opening the 2008 season with a 3-2 record at
the Northeast Challenge in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Feb. 22-24.
This week Caldwell plays at Queens College and C.W. Post on
Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, before heading to Tennessee to
play six games from Mar. 16-20.
