General: Excellent defensive first-baseman… Has potential to contribute at the plate. 2008/Sophomore: Saw action in 46 games, starting 23… Did not commit and error in 226 chances… Hit .235 with six doubles, four home runs and 15 runs batted in… Went 3-for-4 with a double and a homer in a win over C.W. Post 4/14… Also homered in wins over Wilmington, St. Thomas Aquinas and Bloomfield… Doubled in the Cougars’ victory over Dowling at the NCAA Northeast Regional 5/16. 2007/Freshman: Played in 38 games with 34 starts at first base… Led the CACC in fielding percentage (.993)… Committed just two errors in 293 chances… Batted .272 with three home runs and 25 RBI… Had 10 multi-hit games… Went 4-for-4 with two doubles in a win at Bloomfield 3/31… Hit a grand slam against Dominican 4/11 for his first collegiate home run… Left the yard twice in an 8-7 victory over Dominican 5/1… Had a pair of hits against UMass-Lowell in the NCAA Northeast Regional 5/17. Prior to Caldwell: Named first team all-County by the Hunterdon Democrat after his senior season at Hunterdon Central High School… Also earned all-conference honors in 2006… Helped Hunterdon Central reach the state semifinals in 2006 and the sectional final in 2005.
