General: Caldwell’s top reliever the past two seasons… Will move into the starting rotation this year. 2008/Sophomore: Selected to the all-CACC second team… Set the school record with five saves to pace the CACC… Was 4-4 with an earned run average of 2.87… Struck out 34 batters in 37 2/3 innings… Did not allow a run for 14 1/3 innings during a stretch of eight games 4/1-17… Allowed just four hits while recording two saves and a win during that stretch… Earned saves in CACC victories over Nyack, Chestnut Hill and Bloomfield… Also picked up wins in relief against Philadelphia and USP… Retired both batters faced in the 10^th inning to record a win in Caldwell’s 6-5 victory over Dominican in the CACC Tournament. 2007/Freshman: Made 17 appearances, including two starts… Was 0-2 with an ERA of 5.30… Recorded a CACC-best four saves… Earned his first career save vs. Mercy 2/24/07 with four strikeouts in 3.0 innings… Pitched a scoreless inning to pick up a save at Bridgeport 3/29/07… Did not allow a hit in 2 2/3 innings of work to earn a save at Felician 4/3/07… Also recorded a save vs. Philadelphia 4/28/07. Prior to Caldwell: Played baseball for four seasons at J.P. Taravella High School… Received his team’s Cy Young Award twice… Also named Taravella’s most improved player… Helped Taravella advance to the regional tournament in 2006.
