CROSS COUNTRY TEAM PARTICIPATES IN SPRING CLEANING
AT GROVER CLEVELAND PARK

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College cross country team joined a group of 40 volunteers
from the community to help clean up Grover Cleveland Park in Caldwell, N.J.,
on Saturday, Apr. 12. Since the team often runs through the park as a part
of its training during the season, the team members decided to assist with
the local efforts to tidy up the park as their community engagement project.
Senior Lisa Dunphy (Clifton, NJ/Clifton), junior Jennifer Del
Polito (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) and sophomores Danielle Cleary
(Rockaway, NJ/Morris Knolls) and Jaclyn Feola (Belleville,
NJ/Belleville), along with head coach John Tosato, participated in

COUGARS RUN AT CACC CHAMPIONSHIPS

PHILADELPHIA,
Pa. - The Caldwell College cross country squad competed at the
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships Saturday
morning at Belmont Plateau. Freshman Abigail Cabral (West
Paterson, NJ/Passaic Tech) led the Cougars' four runners across the
finish line with a 26th-place finish. Georgian Court University won
the team event, with the Lions' Heather Miara winning the individual
title.
Following Cabral for Caldwell was sophomore Jaclyn Feola
(Belleville, NJ/Belleville) in 45th place. Senior Lisa Dunphy
(Clifton, NJ/Clifton) and sophomore Sydney Day (Houston,
TX/Stratford) rounded out the Cougars' lineup in 52nd and 53rd
place, respectively. Caldwell was not included in the team scoring,
as five runners are required to accumulate the team points.

CALDWELL COMPETES AT DESALES CROSS COUNTRY
INVITATIONAL

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Caldwell College cross country team placed
20th at the DeSales University Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Abigail Cabral (West Paterson, NJ/Passaic Tech) was
the first Cougar across the finish line, taking 94th overall.
Sophomore Jaclyn Feola (Belleville, NJ/Belleville) was next
for the Cougars, followed by sophomore Sydney Day (Houston,
TX/Stratford), senior Lisa Dunphy (Clifton, NJ/Clifton)
and sophomore Danielle Cleary (Rockaway Twp., NJ/Morris
Knolls).
Next up for the Cougars is the Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 20. The CACC Meet will be
held at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, Pa.
COUGAR HARRIERS PLACE SECOND AT DOMINICAN

ORANGEBURG,
N.Y. - The Caldwell College cross country team finished in second at
the three-team Dominican College Invitational Monday afternoon at
Tallman State Park. The Cougars recorded 40 points to finish behind
the host Chargers and ahead of St. Thomas Aquinas College.
Bloomfield College also competed but did not enter a complete team.
Sophomore Jaclyn Feola (Belleville, NJ/Belleville) paced the
Cougars with a fifth-place finish overall. She was followed closely
by senior Lisa Dunphy (Clifton, NJ/Clifton) in eighth place.
Sophomore Sydney Day (Houston, TX/Stratford) took 11th in her
first collegiate race, while freshman Stephanie Cadet
(Elmont, NY/Elmont), pictured, placed 13th and sophomore Danielle
Cleary (Rockaway Twp., NJ/Morris Knolls) finished 18th.
Caldwell competes at the DeSales University Invitational on
Saturday, Oct. 13 in the team's final tune-up before the Central
Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships on Oct. 20.

CALDWELL TAKES FIFTH AT NJAIAW MEET

POMONA,
N.J. - The Caldwell College cross country team placed fifth at the
NJAIAW/Osprey Open held at Richard Stockton College Saturday
morning. The Cougars totaled 128 points in the meet, which was won
by the host Ospreys. Freshman Abigail Cabral (West Paterson,
NJ/Passaic Tech) was the first Cougar across the finish line, taking
21st overall.
Sophomore Jaclyn Feola (Belleville, NJ/Belleville) was next in 28th,
followed closely by junior Jennifer Del Polito (Nutley,
NJ/Nutley) in 30th. Senior Lisa Dunphy (Clifton, NJ/Clifton)
took 37th and sophomore Danielle Cleary (Rockaway Twp.,
NJ/Morris Knolls) placed 47th to round out the Cougars' lineup.
The Cougars return to action on Monday, Oct. 8 at the Dominican
College Invitational.

WILMINGTON, Del. - The Caldwell College cross country team competed
at the Wilmington Invitational Saturday morning at Carousel Park.
The Cougars had three runners in the race and were not included in
the team scoring. Freshman Abigail Cabral (West Paterson,
NJ/Passaic Tech) finished 12th overall to pace Caldwell.
Sophomore Jaclyn Feola (Belleville, NJ/Belleville) followed
Cabral across the finish line in 16th place, with senior Lisa
Dunphy (Clifton, NJ/Clifton) taking 18th.
Next up for the Cougars is the NJAIAW Meet on Saturday, Sept. 29 at
Richard Stockton College in Pomona, N.J.

CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES AT POST INVITATIONAL

MIDDLEBURY, Conn. - The Caldwell College cross country team placed
second at the Post Invitational at Hop Brook Lake Park Thursday
afternoon, defeating Post, 25-30 and losing to Bridgeport, 20-35.
Freshmen Stephanie Cadet (Elmont, NY/Elmont) and Abigail
Cabral (West Paterson, NJ/Passaic Tech) tied for fifth overall
to pace the Cougars.
The other Cougars to compete included sophomore Jaclyn Feola
(Belleville, NJ/Belleville), pictured, who placed 10th, senior Lisa Dunphy
(Clifton, NJ/Clifton), who took 11th, and sophomore Danielle
Cleary (Rockaway, NJ/Morris Knolls), who finished in 13th place.
The Cougars will run at the Wilmington Invitational in New Castle,
Del., on Saturday, Sept. 22.

CALDWELL CAPTURES HOME MEET TO BEGIN SEASON

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College cross country team
took five of the top six places to pace the Cougars to victory over Post University and
Dominican College in a triangular meet held on the Caldwell campus
Friday afternoon. The Cougars, coached by John Tosato, beat
Post 15-40 and defeated Dominican 20-35, while the Chargers defeated
Post 19-36.
Dominican's Jessica Lappe won the individual title, followed by
Caldwell freshman Abigail Cabral (West Paterson, NJ/Passaic
Tech). Cabral was followed by another freshman, Stephanie Cadet
(Elmont, NY/Elmont) in third, while junior Jennifer Del
Polito (Nutley, NJ/Nutley), who also made her Caldwell debut,
placed fourth. Sophomore Jaclyn Feola (Belleville,
NJ/Belleville) took fifth overall, senior Lisa Dunphy
(Clifton, NJ/Clifton) took sixth and sophomore Danielle Cleary
(Rockaway, NJ/Morris Knolls) finished 11th.
The Cougars will compete in the Post University Invitational on
Thursday, Sept. 13, beginning at 3:30 p.m. in Waterbury, Conn.
