GOLF BEGINS 2007 SEASON AT GOLDEY-BEACOM
INVITATIONAL

AVONDALE, Pa. - The Caldwell College golf squad opened the 2007 spring
season at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational, held at Hartefeld National on
Monday and Tuesday. The Cougars placed 19th in the team standings, with
the University of Indiana (Pa.) taking top honors.
Caldwell was led by sophomore Chris Parker (Brick, NJ/Brick
Memorial), the team's top golfer in 2006. Parker shot a two-round total
of 179. Sophomores Josh Cohen (Egg Harbor, NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.), John
Plaugic (Kearny, NJ/Kearny) and Dan Jennings (Suffern, NY/Suffern)
rounded out the Cougars' scorers in the event.
Caldwell returns to action on Wednesday, Mar. 28 at a tournament hosted
by Holy Family University in Philadelphia, Pa.
