10, 2008 - The Caldwell College women's basketball team has been chosen
to compete in the 2008 ECAC Division II Women's Basketball
Championship, which will be held at Philadelphia University's Gallagher
Center Mar. 14-15. The Cougars, seeded third, will face second-seeded
Philadelphia on Friday at 5:00 p.m. The other semifinal has top-seeded
Wilmington University facing fourth-seeded Adelphi University at 7:00 p.m.
The semifinal winners will meet in the championship game on Saturday, Mar.
15 at 2:00 p.m. (more)

The Caldwell College baseball team is ranked fifth in the latest National
Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Northeast Regional Poll, released
today. The Cougars received 51 points this week, while Franklin Pierce
University held the top spot after receiving eight of nine first-place
votes. (more)

5, 2008 - A late basket by Ryan Lancaster proved to be the difference as
the Caldwell College men's basketball team lost to Holy Family University,
55-53 in the semifinals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference
Tournament Wednesday evening in the George R. Newman Center. The defeat
eliminates the Cougars from the tournament and ends their season at 12-17,
while the Tigers (21-8) advance to the finals against Philadelphia
University on Saturday, Mar. 8. Senior forward B.J. Suchy
(Ronkonkoma, NY/Our Savior New American) scored 14 points to lead Caldwell
in his final game for the Cougars. (more)

Caldwell College sophomore outfielder
Adric Saxon (Coral Springs, FL/Broward CC) was named the first
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball Player of the Week of the
2008 season, the league announced today. Saxon helped the Cougars start the
season 3-2 at the Northeast Challenge in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Feb. 22-24. (more)

Caldwell College women's basketball players Mackenzie Lynch
(Wayne, NJ/DePaul Catholic) and Dana Leary (Bridgewater, NJ/Immaculata)
were included on the all-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference teams, the
league announced today. Lynch made the all-CACC third team, while Leary
received honorable mention. The two players have led the Cougars to a 16-10
record and a spot in the CACC Tournament after posting a 9-7 mark in the

Junior forward Manny Perez (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) and
senior forward B.J. Suchy (Ronkonkoma, NY/Our Savior New American)
were honored by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference on the all-CACC
Men's Basketball teams, which were released today. Perez was selected to the
second team for the third time in his career, while Suchy received all-CACC
honorable mention. (more)

The Caldwell College softball team was picked to finish second in the
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference this spring, according to the 2008 CACC Softball Preseason Poll, released today. The Cougars
received five first-place votes and a total of 160 points, four fewer than
Georgian Court University, the defending CACC champions. (more)

Senior softball player Nicole Bodrog (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) was
selected as Caldwell College's recipient of the New Jersey Association of
Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (NJAIAW) Woman of the Year Award. Bodrog
and her fellow collegiate and high school honorees were honored at Seton
Hall University as part of the National Girls and Women in Sports Day
celebration on Sunday, Feb. 3. (more)
