CALDWELL,
N.J. - Sophomore guard Nolan Hall (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern
Regional), pictured, scored a game-high 22 points as the Caldwell
College men's basketball team beat Dominican College, 75-54 in a Central
Atlantic Collegiate Conference game Wednesday evening at the George R.
Newman Center. The victory gives the Cougars a season sweep of the
Chargers while improving to 11-12 overall and 10-5 in the CACC.
Dominican is now 10-13 on the season, including an 8-7 mark in
conference play.
Caldwell jumped out to a 13-2 lead in the game's first five minutes and

that point on. The Cougars scored six unanswered points to end the half,
including a half-court three-pointer at the buzzer by Hall that made it
35-19 at the half. Tough Cougar defense limited the Chargers to 35.0
percent shooting from the field in the first half.

an 18-10 run in the first eight minutes to lead 53-29. The Chargers
would never get closer than 16 points the rest of the way. Both teams
shot the ball well in the second half, with Caldwell making 57.1 percent
from the field and Dominican hitting 52.2 percent. For the game, the
Cougars forced 29 Charger turnovers while swiping 18 steals to match
their season-high.
Hall, who was 8-of-10 from the field and 2-of-3 from behind the arc,
also led Caldwell with six rebounds. Senior guard Ron Harris
(Trenton, NJ/Trenton Central) tallied 12 points, seven assists and six
steals, while freshman forward Ryan Kearney (North Arlington,
NJ/Queen of Peace) scored a career-high 11 points in 18 minutes.
