PEREZ NAMED CACC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CALDWELL, N.J. - Freshman forward Manny Perez (Egg Harbor, NJ/Egg Harbor) was chosen the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's basketball Player of the Week, the conference announced today. Perez averaged 25.5 points and 5.0 rebounds as Caldwell College (9-12, 8-5 CACC) went 1-1 last week.

In the Cougars' 81-79 victory at Post University last Thursday, Perez poured in a career-high 27 points while shooting 9-of-11 from the field. Then on Saturday, he was a perfect 16-of-16 from the free throw line en route to 24 points in a 78-66 loss to Felician College at the Newman Center. 

Perez, who leads the Cougars with 15.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, was named the Division II Player of the Month for January by NJ Hoops. Perez joins junior guard Mark Kelly (Oakhurst, NJ/Oakhurst) as the only Cougars to be named the CACC Player of the Week this season.
