CRICELLI REPEATS AS CACC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

CALDWELL, N.J. - Caldwell College freshman forward Sam Cricelli (Brighton, England/Culham) received Rookie of the Week honors from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference for the second straight week, the league announce today. Cricelli, who was chosen the conference's Rookie of the Week on Dec. 18, earned the award for the two-week holiday period from Dec. 18 to Dec. 31 after averaging 12.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in a pair of games.

Cricelli, a 6-7 forward, grabbed a team-best eight rebounds to go with nine points in a 70-56 loss at St. Anselm College on Dec. 20. The next day, Cricelli scored 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field to help the Cougars defeat Franklin Pierce College, 66-63 in overtime. His last basket tied the game at 61-61 with 32 seconds left in regulation, sending the game into overtime.

Cricelli and the Cougars do not play until Tuesday, Jan. 9, when they travel to Philadelphia, Pa., to face Holy Family University in a CACC contest. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
