
COUGARS FALL TO ADA BLOIS IN FIRST
EXHIBITION IN FRANCE

BLOIS, France - The Caldwell College men’s basketball team
opened exhibition play in France Saturday, losing to A.D.A.
Blois 102-73 in the Palais des Sports in Blois, France. The game
marked the Cougars’ first contest on their four-game trip to
France after arriving on Thursday, Aug. 9. Senior forward B.J.
Suchy (Ronkonkoma, NY/Our Savior) led Caldwell with 24
points.
Blois, who opened its 2007-08 season with
today’s exhibition, led by as many as 19 in the first quarter
before the Cougars pulled to within eight points with 2:50
remaining in the second quarter. But Blois pulled away in the
fourth quarter, outscoring Caldwell 31-16 over the final 10
minutes of the contest.
Suchy was 10-of-18 from the field and grabbed
nine rebounds for Caldwell. Sophomore forward Sam Cricelli
(Brighton, England/Culham) notched a double-double with 14
points and a game-high 13 boards, while senior guard Michael
Wise (Whitesboro, NJ/Middletownship) scored 14 points in the
loss. Johan Blot led all scorers with 31 points for Blois, with
Nehemiah Brazil, a former player at Kutztown University, scoring
22.
The Cougars face Blois again
on Sunday, Aug. 12, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Standard
Time.
