ECAC TABS SKJELSTAD AS MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Sophomore midfielder Bard Skjelstad (Bodo, Norway) was named the East Coast Athletic Conference men's soccer Division II Player of the Week, the organization announced Wednesday. This is the second honor this week for Skjelstad, who was chosen the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Skjelstad helped the Cougars come from behind to defeat LIU-Southampton 3-1 by scoring a pure hat trick in six minutes, 24 seconds of action in the second half. On Saturday, Skjelstad scored again in a 1-1 tie at league-leading Wilmington. For the season, Skjelstad has four goals and one assist for nine points.

After Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Nyack, the Cougars are now 4-2-1 on the season, and 1-1-1 in the CACC. The Cougars play at Concordia College today at 3:00 p.m.
