DAUTI HELPS MEN'S SOCCER END REGULAR SEASON WITH A VICTORY10-29-05
Junior midfielder Jorge Ibarcena (Lima, Peru) gave the Cougars
a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute, when he collected a pass from sophomore
midfielder Nicholas Harriott (St. Catherine, Jamaica/Campion)
and buried a shot from 20 yards out. The Clippers tied the game up in
the 34th minute on a goal by Jay Bailey-
Dauti completed his hat trick in the 78th minute off an assist from junior defender Gary Mullings (St. Elizabeth, Jamaica/Munroe). Dauti now has a team-best 15 goals this season. Freshman forward Chad Bennett (Kingston, Jamaica/Campion) notched his second goal of the season in the 86th minute to close out the scoring.
The Cougars received the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the CACC Tournament after compiling a 7-1 mark in conference play. They will play either third-seeded Felician College or sixth-seeded Wilmington College on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 4:00 p.m. at Tryon Field in Rutherford, N.J.
