ENGH NAMED TO ALL-CACC SECOND TEAM

10-28-09
CALDWELL, N.J. – Caldwell College junior defender Olof Engh (Karlstad, Sweden) was selected to the all-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference second team as the league announced its season-ending awards for men's soccer today. Additionally, the Cougars received the CACC's Team Sportsmanship Award. All conference awards were voted on by the league's 12 head coaches.

A three-year starter on defense, Engh has started every game this season as a central defender for Caldwell. He contributed to two shutouts this season and has mentored the Cougars' young back line as its most experienced player. A key focal point on Caldwell's set plays, Engh has two assists this season and a goal and three assists in 46 career games. Also and excellent student, Engh earned CACC All-Academic Team honors and received the Division II Athletic Directors Association Academic Achievement Award last year.

The Cougars, coached by Jamie Nash, are 3-10-1 overall, including a 3-6 record in conference play.
