ZALAZAR SELECTED CACC MEN'S SOCCER ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

N.J. – Caldwell College freshman forward Facundo Zalazar (Buenos
Aires City, Argentina/San Agustin) was chosen the Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference Rookie of the Week for men's soccer for the week ending
Sept. 27, the league announced
today. Zalazar scored three goals in two games last week for the
Cougars.
Against Concordia College on Tuesday, Zalazar found the net just a
minute and 43 seconds into the game. He helped Caldwell take an
early lead again on Thursday against C.W. Post University, scoring
in the 19th minute. Following two goals by the Pioneers, Facundo
tied the game in the 67th minute, when he finished a free kick from
junior forward Rob Arena (Sparta, NJ/Sparta) for his second
goal of the game. Zalazar leads the Cougars in scoring with four
goals on the season.
Zalazar and the Cougars return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 30, when they play at
Felician College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game.
