COUGARS SHUT OUT BY DEVILS IN MEN'S TENNIS

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Caldwell College men's tennis team fell to the University of Sciences, 9-0 in a team dual Saturday afternoon at USP. The defeat drops the Cougars to 2-2 on the season, while the Devils improve to 7-2.

Caldwell's best chances to win were at first and fifth singles. Senior Chris Costa (Montville, NJ/DePaul, Catholic) tied his match up with Tyler Weisel at No. 1 singles before falling 6-2 in the final set of the match. At No. 5 singles, junior Jan Marco Jiras (Lima, Peru) won the second set 6-1, but lost in a tie-breaker set.

The Cougars are scheduled to host Millersville University on Sunday, Apr. 15 at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts.
