COUGAR SOFTBALL RANKED 22ND IN FINAL NATIONAL POLL

CALDWELL,
N.J. - The Caldwell College softball team is ranked 22nd in the final
National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll, released
this week. The ranking marks the second year in a row that the Cougars have
been ranked among the nation's top 25 teams at the end of the season, having
finished seventh in last year's poll.
The Cougars, coached by Dean Johnson, went 40-11 this past season and
repeated as Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference regular season and
tournament champions to earn a berth in the NCAA Division II Northeast
Region Tournament for the second straight year. Caldwell College returns all
of its starters for next season, including rising seniors Amy Coker
(Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville), Katie Jackson (Pennsville,
NJ/Pennsville) and Jessica Saunders (Glen Burnie, MD/Archbishop
Spaulding) who, along with rising junior Anna Dahl (Lindenwold,
NJ/Camden Catholic), were named to the NFCA All-Northeast Region teams. Over
the past two seasons, the Cougars have a record of 85-18.
