DAHL NAMED CACC PITCHER OF THE WEEK

N.J. - Sophomore Anna Dahl
(Lindenwold, NJ/Camden Catholic) was selected the Central Atlantic
Collegiate Conference's Pitcher of the Week for the week ending May 1,
the conference announced. Dahl, who also won the league's weekly award
for the week ending Apr. 17, helped the Caldwell College softball team
(33-8 overall, 16-2 CACC) go 4-0 for the week and clinch the team's
second straight CACC regular-season title.
Dahl (13-3) tossed a pair of shutouts last week in an 8-0 win over
Bloomfield College on Apr. 26 and a 7-0 victory over Molloy College on
Apr. 28. Dahl allowed just nine hits and a walk while striking out 13
in 12.0 innings in the two games combined. She currently leads the
CACC with a 0.75 earned run average. Dahl also hit well in the four
games last week, going 5-for-7 with a double, a triple, a home run,
four runs scored and four runs batted in. She leads the team with five
homers on the season.
Also being recognized by the CACC was junior Amy Coker
(Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville), who batted .583 (7-for-12) with three
doubles and four runs scored. Coker is batting .404 on the season to
lead Caldwell.
This week the Cougars play at Wilmington College on Tuesday, May 3 in
the regular-season finale before hosting the CACC Tournament May 5-7.
The top-seeded Cougars will play at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5,
against the winner of an earlier game between the fourth and fifth
seeds.
