Adelphi hit a grand slam in each of the third and fourth innings to take
control of the first game. Jessica Vogt hit her sixth homer of the season
with two out in the third inning. Then in the fourth, Samantha Johnston

(Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville) led off the top of the third inning with her
fifth home run of the season. Schaper tied the game in the bottom of the
third with a sacrifice fly. Two unearned runs in the bottom of the fourth
put the Panthers ahead 3-1. But Caldwell answered with two runs in the top
of the fifth on a single by senior Gina D'Amico (Turnersville,
NJ/Washington Twp.) that scored seniors Kristi Godfrey (West Babylon,
NY/West Babylon) and Amy Coker (Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville). Adelphi
