DAHL EARNS TWO WEEKLY HONORS FROM CACC

N.J. - Caldwell College junior Anna Dahl (Lindenwold, NJ/Camden
Catholic) was named the Player of the Week and co-Pitcher of the Week by the Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference for the week ending Apr. 16. Dahl had an outstanding week in the
circle and at the plate, going 3-0 with an earned run average of 0.37 while
batting .632 with two home runs and five RBIs.
Dahl pitched three complete-game victories for the Cougars, yielding just
one earned run and seven hits in 19.0 innings of work. She led
Caldwell
to a 4-2 win at Bloomfield College on Monday, giving up two runs, one
earned, and two hits in seven innings, then allowed an unearned run and
three hits in a 5-1 victory over Wilmington on Tuesday. Dahl wrapped up the
week with a five-inning shutout of Dowling College on Thursday, giving up
two hits while striking out four. She fanned 14 batters for the week.
At the plate, Dahl went 3 for 4 in the win at Bloomfield, then homered in
the victory against Wilmington. She also hit a home run and a double in the
Cougars' 8-0 win over Philadelphia University on Wednesday. After going 12
of 19 for the week, Dahl raised her batting average on the season 143 points
to .265.
Dahl and the Cougars return to action on Tuesday, Apr. 18, when they play a
CACC doubleheader at Goldey-Beacom College. Game time is set for 3:30 p.m.
in Wilmington, Del.
