5-22-07
CALDWELL, N.J. - Caldwell College junior Nicole Bodrog (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) earned a spot on the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District 2 third team in voting by the College Sports Information Directors of America, the organization announced. Nominees for the Academic All-District teams, which are selected by CoSIDA members, must be at least a sophomore with a grade-point average of 3.2 or better and be a starter or significant reserve.

Bodrog, who is majoring in communications at Caldwell, earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Academic Team honors as a sophomore for posting a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. On the diamond, she was chosen to the all-CACC second team for the second straight season after batting .329 with 12 doubles, six home runs and 29 runs batted in. Earlier this month, Bodrog made the all-Tournament team at the CACC Tournament after batting .412 over five games. The Cougars' starter at third base, Bodrog has 127 career hits in three seasons at Caldwell.

The Cougars' softball team, coached by Dean Johnson, went 34-17 and earned a share of their fourth consecutive CACC regular-season title this past spring.
