WEBB EARNS CACC PITCHER OF THE WEEK ACCOLADES

CALDWELL, N.J. - Senior Nicole Webb (Toms River, NJ/Manchester Twp.) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Mar. 18, the league announced today. Webb helped the 12th-ranked Cougars start the season with a 4-2 record at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla.

In a pair of wins on Saturday, Mar. 17, Webb pitched 9 2/3 innings to earn her first two victories as a Cougar. In a 6-5 win in nine innings over Minnesota State-Mankato, Webb came on in relief and allowed two unearned runs and two hits in 3 2/3 innings to help the Cougars overcome a 3-0 deficit. Later that same day, Webb took a no-hitter into the sixth inning in a 5-1 victory over region foe Queens College. She gave up two hits and an unearned run in six innings of work for her second win of the day.

Webb and the Cougars face Augustana (S.D.) College in a doubleheader on Tuesday, Mar. 20 at the Rebel Spring Games.
