TIMBROOK SELECTED CACC CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CALDWELL, N.J. - Caldwell College junior Kyrie Timbrook (Los Gatos, CA/Los Gatos) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Softball Co-Player of the Week for the week ending Apr. 19, the league announced today. Timbrook batted .417 with 10 doubles, two home runs and 10 RBI to lead the Cougars to nine wins in 11 games last week.

Timbrook started the week with a two-run home run in a 10-0 victory over Holy Family University on Monday. She also hit a solo home run in an 8-1 victory over Felician College on Friday. Three of her 10 doubles on the week came in a 5-0 win at Nyack College on Thursday. Timbrook also hit two doubles while going 3-for-3 with a run and two RBI in an 8-0 triumph at Chestnut Hill on Saturday. Her two-run double in the top of the ninth helped the Cougars take an 8-5 win over American International in extra innings on Sunday.

Timbrook is having a standout season for the Cougars, who are 29-11-2 overall and in first place in the CACC with a league mark of 18-2. She leads Caldwell in batting average (.402), hits (49), doubles (17), home runs (three), RBI (34), slugging percentage (.615) and total bases (75). Last season Timbrook earned all-CACC first team honors after hitting .354 with 27 RBI.

The Cougars host C.W. Post in a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday, Apr. 22. The first game is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
