MANNA, McKENZIE COMPETE AT FIRST CACC MEN'S TENNIS TOURNEY

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. - Caldwell College men's tennis players Mike
Manna (Lavallette, NJ/Point Beach) and Thane McKenzie (Kingston,
Jamaica/Wolmer's) participated at the inaugural Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference Singles and Doubles Tournaments. Both Cougars lost first-round
singles matches and were eliminated in the doubles tournament.
Manna faced the tournament's No. 1 seed, Adrian Torroella-Cruz of
Philadelphia University in the first round and lost 10-0. McKenzie played
second-seeded Manoli Sgouros, also of Philadelphia, and was defeated 10-0.
In doubles, Manna and McKenzie faced Andres DeCastro and Jolston Wattley and
fell 8-6. The CACC Tournament marked the final collegiate competition for
both Manna and McKenzie.

USP BLANKS COUGARS IN MEN'S TENNIS

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College men's tennis team fell to the
University of the Sciences, 9-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference
dual Sunday afternoon at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The loss drops
the Cougars to 3-11 overall and 3-7 in league play.
Caldwell ends its season tied for fourth in the CACC with Bloomfield
College. Bloomfield won the tie-breaker and will play in the first CACC
Men's Tennis Tournament Apr. 21-23 in Philadelphia, Penn. Seniors Mike
Manna (Lavallette, NJ/Point Beach) and Thane McKenzie (Kingston,
Jamaica/Wolmer's) will represent the Cougars at the CACC Individual
Tournament on Apr. 24-25, also in Philadelphia.

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College men's tennis team lost a
non-conference match with Rutgers-Newark, 7-2 Saturday afternoon at the
Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The Cougars fall to 3-10 on the season with
the loss.
Senior Kagiso Rhenoster (Mafikeng, South Africa/Mmbatho) earned
Caldwell's only win in singles with a victory at No. 5 singles. Sophomores Josh Getka (Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May
Reg.) and Andy Loughnane
(Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) combined at No. 2 doubles to win their
match for the Cougars' other point.
Caldwell hosts the University of the Sciences on Sunday, Apr. 19 in the
final regular-season dual of the season. The first matches begin at 12:00
p.m. at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts.

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College men's tennis team was victorious over
Post University, 8-1, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual
Friday afternoon at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The win improves the
Cougars to 3-9 overall and 3-6 in the conference.
Senior Mike Manna (Lavallette, NJ/Point Beach) was one of three
Cougars to win at singles and doubles, earning victories at first singles
and first doubles with senior Kagiso Rhenoster (Mafikeng, South
Africa/Mmbatho). Sophomores Josh Getka (Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May
Reg.) and Andy Loughnane
(Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) won their match at No. 2 doubles, then

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. - The Caldwell College men's tennis team dropped a
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual to the University of the
Sciences, 9-0 Thursday afternoon. The result gives the Cougars an overall
record of 2-9, including a 2-6 mark in league play.
The Devils won five singles matches and two doubles matches, while receiving
wins via walkover at sixth singles and third doubles.
Caldwell returns to the courts on Friday, Apr. 17 with a CACC dual against
Post University at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts.

CALDWELL BEATS BLOOMFIELD IN MEN'S TENNIS

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College men's tennis squad defeated Bloomfield
College, 6-3 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual at the
Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The dual began on Tuesday and finished up
today with three singles matches that were suspended due to rain on Tuesday.
The Cougars are now 2-8 overall and 2-5 in the conference.
Caldwell won one of three doubles matches, as sophomores Andy Loughnane
(Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) and Josh Getka (Cape May, NJ/Lower
Cape May Reg.) were victorious at second doubles. The Cougars clinched the
dual by winning five of six in singles play. Sophomore Anish Kansakar
(Kathmandu, Nepal) won his match at No. 2 singles, Getka and Loughnane
picked up wins at third and fourth singles, respectively, and seniors Kagiso Rhenoster
(Mafikeng, South Africa/Mmbatho) and Chad Bennett (Kingston,
Jamaica/Campion) won their matches at fifth and sixth singles, respectively.

Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual to Chestnut Hill College, 7-2 Monday
afternoon. The Cougars, who lost to the Griffins on Apr. 4 in the season's
first meeting, are now 1-8 overall and 1-5 in conference play. Chestnut Hill
improves to 7-7, 4-3 CACC.
Caldwell's two points came in singles play, as seniors Kagiso Rhenoster
(Mafikeng, South Africa/Mmbatho) and Chad Bennett (Kingston,
Jamaica/Campion) were victorious at fifth and sixth singles, respectively.

MEN'S TENNIS DEFEATS POST FOR FIRST VICTORY

Conn. - The Caldwell College men's tennis squad earned its first victory of
the season, defeating Post University, 9-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference dual on Thursday. The victory snaps a seven-match losing streak
for the Cougars, who are now 1-7 overall and 1-4 in the conference. The
Eagles drop to 0-6.
Senior Mike Manna (Lavallette, NJ/Point Beach) was one of five
Cougars to record wins in doubles and singles. Manna teamed with
senior Thane McKenzie (Kingston, Jamaica/Wolmer's) at No. 1 doubles
for an 8-4 victory over Johan Pineda and Markeese McLeod before downing
Pineda at No. 2 singles, 8-5. McKenzie was victorious over McLeod at No. 1
singles, 8-3, while sophomore Anish Kansakar (Kathmandu, Nepal) won
his match at No. 3 singles. Sophomores Josh Getka (Cape May, NJ/Lower
Cape May Reg.) and Andy Loughnane (Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford)
won their matches at fourth and fifth singles, respectively, and combined

College Tennis Courts. The Cougars are now 0-7 on the season, while the
Roadrunners improve to 3-8.
Pro sets were played in all six singles matches and the three doubles
matches, with the Cougars failing to win more than three games in any match.

Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Cougars remain winless at 0-6,
including a 0-4 mark in conference play. The Rams are now 11-6, 6-0 CACC.
Philadelphia, who blanked the Cougars 9-0 in the season opener on Mar. 24,
earned the season sweep after winning all six singles matches in straight
sets and losing just one game in three doubles victories.

Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Cougars drop to 0-4 on the season,
while the Deacons pick up their first victory of the spring.
Caldwell's No. 2 doubles team of sophomores Josh Getka (Cape May,

Tennis Courts. The result kept the Cougars winless on the season at 0-3,
while the Spartans improve to 1-2 overall.
St. Thomas Aquinas swept the three doubles matches, including narrow 8-6
victories at first and second doubles, to take a 3-0 lead. Senior Mike
Manna (Lavallette, NJ/Point Beach) defeated Jonathan Iliev at No. 1
singles in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1. Senior Thane McKenzie (Kingston,

non-conference dual to East Stroudsburg University, 9-0 Friday afternoon at
the Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The loss gives the Cougars an 0-2 record
on the season, while the Warriors improve to 4-3 with the win.
East Stroudsburg dominated in both doubles and singles matches, winning in
straight sets in all six singles matches while losing only two games in the
three doubles matches combined.
The Cougars return to action on Sunday, Mar. 29 with a Central Atlantic

COUGARS PICKED FOURTH IN INAUGURAL CACC MEN'S TENNIS PRESEASON POLL

CALDWELL,
N.J. - The Caldwell College men's tennis team was predicted to finish fourth
in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Preseason Poll, as voted on by
the league's six head coaches. This is the first year that the conference is
sponsoring men's tennis, as the first CACC team and individual champions
will be crowned at the CACC Championships on Apr. 21-24 at Chestnut Hill
College.
The Cougars, coached by Bruce Hamburger, return five letterwinners
from last year's team that finished 5-9 overall. Although the league didn't
sponsor men's tennis last season, Caldwell played six matches against CACC
opponents and went 4-2. Senior Mike Manna (Lavallette, NJ/Point
Beach), pictured, has won 20 singles matches over his three-year career at
Caldwell, including a 6-7 record last season. He is joined by fellow senior
Thane McKenzie (Kingston, Jamaica/Wolmer's), who was 4-9 in 2008.
Philadelphia was the unanimous choice to win the conference, with the
University of the Sciences taking second in the poll and Chestnut Hill
tabbed for third.
The Cougars, who opened the season with a loss to Philadelphia on Mar. 24,
host East Stroudsburg University on Friday, Mar. 27, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts.

Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual for both schools, as the league will
crown a champion this spring for the first time.
The Rams swept the matches at both doubles and singles, surrendering just
four games in nine matches. Philadelphia's Manoli Sgouros won at No. 1
singles and No. 2 doubles to lead the Rams, who improved to 6-6 overall on
the season.
The Cougars, who were 5-9 a year ago, will host Post University in another
CACC dual on Tuesday, Mar. 26 at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts.
