BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - The Caldwell College volleyball team lost to Bloomfield
College, 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Wednesday
night at the Bloomfield Gymnasium. The loss drops the Cougars to 0-5 overall
and in the CACC, while Bloomfield improves to 3-4 on the season, including a
3-1 conference mark.
Bloomfield, which won the three games 30-14, 30-22 and 30-12, was led by
Ursula Pereira's 23 kills and Sonia Perez's 42 assists. For Caldwell,
sophomore Laura DeVico (Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) led all players
with 12 digs defensively.
Next up for Caldwell is a tri-match at the University of Sciences on
Saturday, Sept. 23. The Cougars play Molloy College at 2:00 p.m., followed
by a 4:00 p.m. match against the host Devils.
