CHARGERS EARN SEASON SWEEP OF COUGARS IN VOLLEYBALL

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. - The Caldwell College volleyball team dropped a Central
Atlantic Collegiate Conference match at Dominican College, 3-0 Tuesday
evening at the Hennessy Center. The loss drops the Cougars to 0-13 on the
season and 0-12 in the conference, while the Chargers, who defeated Caldwell
in the season's first meeting on Sept. 18, improve to 4-16, 4-8 CACC.
The Cougars lost all three games by the same score of 30-17. Junior
Phylicia Holmes (Roselle, NJ/Roselle) had a team-best nine kills, with
sophomore Laura Ciesla (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) recording 12 assists.
On the defensive end of the court, sophomore Laura DeVico
(Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) had 21 digs to pace the Cougars. Dominican was
led by Kinikia Collier with 16 kills, and Kaitlyn Earl, who had 28 assists.
The Cougars return home for their final two home matches of their inaugural
season. On Thursday, Oct. 12, Caldwell hosts Bloomfield College beginning at
7:00 p.m., before playing Philadelphia University on Saturday, Oct. 14 at
12:00 p.m. Both CACC matches will be held in the George R. Newman Center.
