VOLLEYBALL CHOSEN FIFTH IN CACC-NORTH PRESEASON POLL

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College volleyball team was picked to finish
fifth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference North Division by the
Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Cougars received 23 points in the poll, which
selected Bloomfield College as the favorite in the North Division. Georgian
Court University was first in the CACC South Division poll.
The Cougars, coached by Megan Hrbek, went 0-17 last year in their
first season since 1992. A group of nine newcomers, led by two-time
all-state middle blocker Cory Roesing (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) and
all-prep performers Justine Pecora (Clifton, NJ/Mt. St. Dominic
Academy) and Kendra Kane (Secaucus, NJ/Lacordaire Academy) joins five
returnees from last year's inaugural squad. Juniors Laura Ciesla
(Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) and Laura DeVico (Maywood, NJ/Hackensack)
lead the returnees.
The Cougars open the 2007 season at home against Wilmington College on
Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the George R. Newman Center.
