COUGARS LOSE A PAIR OF MATCHES AT EAST STROUDSBURG TOURNEY

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Caldwell College volleyball team lost both of its
matches at the East Stroudsburg University Tournament Friday night. The
Cougars fell to Shippensburg University, 30-13, 30-14, 30-19, then lost to
the University of Bridgeport, 30-21, 30-19, 30-14. The results give the
Cougars a season record of 0-12, while Shippensburg improves to 14-4 and
Bridgeport moves to 12-6.
Freshman outside hitter Cory Roesing (Secaucus, NJ/Secaucus) led the
Cougars against Shippensburg with seven kills. In the Bridgeport match,
junior Laura Ciesla (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) recorded seven kills and
eight digs to pace Caldwell.
Caldwell continues play
on Saturday with matches against Kutztown University and the host Warriors
at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., respectively.
