MCDONOUGH RECEIVES THIRD CACC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK AWARD

N.J. - Caldwell College freshman outside hitter Susan McDonough
(Saline, MI/Saline) was chosen the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference
Volleyball Rookie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 25, the league
announced today. This is the third CACC Rookie of the Week award for
McDonough, who averaged 3.77 kills and 3.08 digs in a 3-1 week for Caldwell.
McDonough started the week with nine kills and 14 digs in a loss at
Philadelphia University on Monday. She followed that up with nine kills and
eight digs to help the Cougars defeat Felician College in three sets on
Tuesday. In Thursday's 3-0 blanking of Nyack College, McDonough registered
16 kills and 11 digs while hitting .286 for the match. She then led Caldwell
to their third straight win, a 3-1 decision over the University of the
Sciences on Saturday, with 15 kills and seven digs. McDonough paced the
Cougars in kills in all four matches last week.
McDonough and the Cougars return to
action on Thursday, Oct. 29, when they host Concordia College in a CACC
match. The first serve is set for 7:00 p.m. in the George R. Newman Center.
