COUGARS PICKED TO FINISH SEVENTH IN CACC PRESEASON POLL

NEWARK, N.J. - The Caldwell College women's basketball team was picked to finish seventh in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference by the league's head coaches, the conference announced today. The University of Sciences, the defending CACC Tournament champion, earned the top spot in the poll with 15 points.

 

The Cougars, who tied for fourth place with a CACC record of 12-10 (12-16 overall) last season, received 77 points in the voting. Head coach Nicole Durnien-Amato returns for her fifth season at Caldwell after compiling a record of 74-41 over four years.

 

The Cougars open the 2004-05 season at the Stonehill College Tournament on Nov. 19-20 in N. Easton, MA. Caldwell's first home game is on Sunday, Nov. 28 against Bloomsburg University at the Newman Center. Game time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
