LEEDHAM CHOSEN CACC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

N.J. - Freshman guard Kirsty Leedham (Ellesmere Port,
England/Cheshire Acad.) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference Rookie of the Week for the week ending Jan. 20, the league
announced today. This is the second CACC weekly award this season for Leedham,
who averaged 19.5 points per game as the Cougars went 1-1 last week.
Leedham was efficient in her offensive production, scoring 39 points in 33
minutes of action off the bench. In a 76-57 victory over Bloomfield College
on Jan. 16, Leedham scored a career-high 23 points in 17 minutes while
making 6-of-8 from three-point range to help the Cougars end a four-game
losing streak. The win also was the first against Bloomfield since the
2003-04 season. Leedham then scored a team-best 16 points in 16 minutes of
action in a 71-60 defeat to 11th-ranked Holy Family University on Jan. 19.
She also swiped three steals in the loss.
Leedham earned CACC Rookie of the Week honors on Nov. 19 following the first
week of the season. She is averaging 10.2 points per game while shooting
37.8 percent from beyond the arc this season.
Leedham and the Cougars host Post University on Wednesday, Jan. 23 in a CACC
North game. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in the George R. Newman
Center.
