LAMBERT RECEIVES CACC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONOR FOR WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

CALDWELL, N.J. - Caldwell College freshman guard Kaitlyn Lambert (Cumberland, RI/Cumberland) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the week ending Nov. 16, the conference announced today. Lambert is the CACC's first Rookie of the Week for the 2008-09 season after playing in her first collegiate game on Saturday, Nov. 15.

In the Cougars' season-opening loss to Molloy College on Saturday, Lambert scored 12 points to go with four rebounds and two blocks as Caldwell fell 76-68. Lambert, a versatile guard who also plays in the front court, made 5-of-8 from the field and connected on both of her free throw attempts in 30 minutes off the bench.

Also, senior forward Mackenzie Lynch (Wayne, NJ/DePaul Catholic) received honorable mention this week after leading the Cougars with 21 points and 11 rebounds for her 22nd career double-double.

The Cougars play at Seton Hall University on Monday, Nov. 17. The game is set to start at 7:00 p.m. in South Orange, N.J.
