Assistant Coach Veronica Mullen

Adelphi University '03

Second season

Veronica Mullen begins her second season as an assistant coach at Caldwell College. A former teammate of Cimino’s at Adelphi University, Mullen was a two-year starter at guard for the Panthers from 2000-02. She was named the team’s most valuable player as a junior after averaging 13.8 points per game. Mullen then helped the Panthers win their first New York Collegiate Athletic Conference title and advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament during her senior year. She also was a member of the volleyball team at Adelphi. Before transferring to Adelphi in 2000, Mullen was a two-year starter at N.J.I.T.

“Veronica and I were teammates and roommates in college, so there is a trust between us that is invaluable to me,” Cimino said. “She knows the type of talent needed to be successful, and we will rely on her to recruit the talent in the tri-state area.”

A native of Ridgefield Park, N.J., Mullen earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Adelphi in 2003. She spent the 2005-06 season as a coach at Demarest (N.J.) High School. Currently, Mullen is a physical education teacher in Union City, N.J., and plays basketball in the Urban Profession League in New York City with Cimino. She is working towards a Master’s degree in Health at New Jersey City University.

Mullen currently resides in Caldwell, N.J.

Assistant Coach Kylee Wilson
Adelphi University '02
First season

Kylee Wilson joins the Cougars this season as an assistant coach. Wilson, who played with Caldwell head coach Linda Cimino and assistant coach Veronica Mullen at Adelphi University, comes to Caldwell after serving as an assistant coach at Drew University last season. While at Drew, Wilson helped the Rangers set the school record for conference wins in a season en route to qualifying for the ECAC Tournament.

A 2002 graduate of Adelphi, Wilson played three sports: basketball, softball and cross country. She was captain of the Panthers’ basketball team during her senior season, earning NYCAC All-Academic Team honors while leading Adelphi to the Sweet 16 of the 2002 NCAA Division II Tournament. A four-year starter in softball, Wilson was named an NFCA Scholar-Athlete three times while helping the Panthers reach the NCAA Regional three times. She also was a member of the Panthers’ cross country team that captured the 2001 NYCAC title.

“Since I’ve known Kylee since our college days, there is a sense of loyalty that already exists between us,” Cimino said. “Her expertise in strength and conditioning will help us tremendously in taking our program to the next level.”

After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Wilson completed her Master’s degree in Studio Art at Adelphi in 2004. She also works as a personal trainer. A native of Omaha, Neb., Wilson resides in Hackettstown, N.J.
