COUGARS SWEEP TEIKYO POST

NAUGATUCK, Conn. - Sophomore Shannon Coyle (Matawan, NJ/St. John Vianney) finished first overall as the Caldwell College women's cross country team took the top five places in a dual meet at Teikyo Post Thursday afternoon. Coyle covered the 5,000-meter course in 22 minutes, 21 seconds for her first collegiate victory.

Junior Katie Doster (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) placed second overall, with sophomore Lauren O'Connell (South Amboy, NJ/St. John Vianney) finishing just two seconds behind Doster for third. Sophomore Amy Ransom (Chattanooga, TN/USC-Aiken) and freshman Katie Bordiuk (West Long Branch, NJ/Shore Regional) rounded out the top five for the Cougars. Sophomore Erin Doyle (Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Manasquan) took 11th overall.

The cross country team is back in action this Saturday with a meet at Wilmington College at 11:00 a.m.
