CROSS COUNTRY TAKES 21ST AT DESALES INVITE

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Caldwell College cross country team finished in 21st place at the DeSales University Invitational Saturday morning. The meet, which included 245 runners, was the final tune-up for the Cougars heading into next Saturday's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships, held in Philadelphia, Pa.

Juniors Shannon Coyle (Matawan, NJ/St. John Vianney) and Amy Ransom (Chattanooga, TN/Notre Dame), pictured, led the way for the Cougars over the 6,000-meter course, followed by juniors Katie Doster (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley), Lauren O'Connell (Matawan, NJ/St. John Vianney) and Erin Doyle (Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Manasuan).

The Cougars will look to improve on their eighth-place finish at last year's CACC meet. This year's conference race begins at 9:30 a.m. at Belmont Plateau.
