COUGARS RUN THIRD AT DOMINICAN INVITATIONAL

N.Y. - Competing in its second meet in three days, the Caldwell
College cross country squad finished in third place at the Dominican
College Invitational Monday afternoon at Tallman State Park. The
Cougars finished with 68 points to finish behind Bridgeport and Nyack
and ahead of the host Chargers and Post.
Junior Shannon Coyle (Matawan, NJ/St. John Vianney) was the
first Cougar across the finish line in ninth place, followed closely
by freshman Jerrica Kahwaty (Clifton, NJ/Clifton), who finished
in 10th. Senior Katie Doster (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley),
pictured, and junior Lauren O'Connell (South Amboy, NJ/St. John
Vianney) were both within a minute of Coyle and Kahwaty, taking 12th
and 14th, respectively. Junior Erin Doyle (Spring Lake Heights,
NJ/Manasuan) finished in 23rd to round out the Cougars' lineup.
The Cougars' next race is on Saturday, Oct. 15, when they compete at
the DeSales University Invitational in the team's final tune-up before
the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships on Oct. 22.
