FIVE COUGARS SELECTED TO ALL-CACC TEAMS

CALDWELL, N.J. - Freshman midfielder Carla Bleiler (Egg Harbor, NJ/Absegami) (left), who was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Newcomer of the year, was one of five Cougars honored by the CACC in the conference's women's soccer year-end awards. Bleiler and sophomore defender Lindsay Gregoris (Woodbury, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) were chosen to the All-CACC first team, while sophomore midfielder Victoria Aguilera (Merida, Venezuela/Saucon Valley) and freshman forward Brook Delucca (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) made the All-CACC second team. Junior goalkeeper Richelle Morse (Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley) received honorable mention.

Bleiler leads the Cougars in scoring with eight goals and five assists for 21 points, which ranks second among CACC freshmen. She recorded five goals and five assists in 10 CACC matches to help the Cougars finish in third place with a record of 8-2. Gregoris (right) anchored a Caldwell defense that had five shutouts in conference play and a school-record seven overall.

Aguilera led the Cougars with 16 points on six goals and four assists in 10 CACC games, including three game-winning goals. An All-CACC second team choice last year, Aguilera netted the game-winner in overtime against Goldey-Beacom in a 2-1 victory. Delucca made an impact in her first collegiate season with four goals and two assists for 10 points, all of which were recorded in CACC contests. She scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win against Nyack.

Morse broke the school record for shutouts in a season with seven, including five against CACC opponents. She averaged 7.2 saves per game and posted a goals-against average of 1.22 in 10 CACC games.

The Cougars (10-7-1), coached by Brian Davies, hosts Felician in a CACC Tournament first round match today at 2:00 p.m. at Caldwell Field.
