WOMEN'S SOCCER EARNS TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College women's soccer team earned the NSCAA/adidas Team Academic Award, given to teams that achieve a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2003-04 academic year. The Cougars posted a 3.17 team GPA and were the only team from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference to receive the Team Academic Award.

 

The Cougars, coached by Brian Davies, had their best season in the eight-year existence of the women's soccer program at Caldwell College, finishing with a record of 11-8-2 and advancing to the semifinals of the CACC Tournament. The Cougars went 8-2 to take third in the conference, which is the program's highest finish ever. Caldwell also made its first appearance in the ECAC Tournament, where the Cougars lost to Dominican in the first round.
