DELUCCA SELECTED CACC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

9-19-05

CALDWELL, N.J. - Sophomore forward Brook Delucca (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's Player of the Week for women's soccer for the week ending Sept. 18, the conference announced today. Delucca totaled five points as the Cougars went 2-0 last week.

Delucca had a hand in both game-winning goals in the two victories, scoring in the first period of overtime in a 2-1 win against Nyack College on Wednesday, Sept. 14, and assisting on a goal by junior midfielder Victoria Aguilera (Merida, Venezuela/Saucon Valley) that gave the Cougars a 2-1 victory at N.Y.I.T. She also scored a goal in that game. Earlier today, Delucca found the net twice in a 4-4 tie with Molloy College.

An all-CACC second team choice a year ago, Delucca leads the team in scoring with seven goals and three assists for 17 points in seven games. She has recorded at least one point in the Cougars' last five games.

Delucca and the Cougars host Concordia College in a non-conference match on Thursday, Sept. 22, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Caldwell Field.
