PAKNIS CHOSEN CACC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
10-10-05
CALDWELL,
N.J. - Freshman midfielder Kristee Paknis (Whiting, NJ/Manchester) was
selected
the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's Player of the Week for women's
soccer for the week ending Oct. 10, the conference announced today. Paknis
scored both of the Cougars' goals last week as Caldwell went 1-0-1.
Paknis tallied the game's only goal in the Cougars' 1-0 victory over Post on
Oct. 5. She then helped Caldwell tie N.J.I.T. on Oct. 8 with her goal in the
51st minute. Paknis, who sat out all of last season due to a knee injury, now
has 12 points on three goals and a team-high six assists on the season. She
joins sophomore forward Brook Delucca (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) as Caldwell
women's soccer players who have received the conference's top weekly honor.
Paknis and the Cougars play at Philadelphia University in a CACC match on
Wednesday, Oct. 12. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. in Philadelphia, Pa.
